Strava Step 1: Ensure that the app is connected to Strava by navigating to the settings page by selecting the settings icon on the bottom right. Make sure the green button below your username states “Connected To Strava”.
If it says “Connect to Strava” select the green button and begin the connection process:
Google Fit/Apple Health Step 1: Ensure that you are using a fitness tracking app, and that you're sharing this data with the W3:Ride app by going to your settings and adjusting your permissions
General Step 2: Make sure your app is up to date. If you do not have automatic updates turned on, you should navigate to your phone's application management and update the app to its newest build. Out-of-date app builds will often affect connectivity. You can find the latest updates on new builds and app functions by joining us on Discord or Twitter!
General Step 3: Make sure your ride is eligible for rewards.
If you manually input a ride, your average speed exceeds 30 mph, your ride was completed the week before, or you traveled less than a quarter mile those rides will be rejected by our database and therefore not detected by the app.
General Step 4: If your app is up to date and your ride is eligible for rewards and you are still having ride detection issues, we recommend you delete and reinstall the app. When you reinstall, make sure to follow the prompts from Apple/Google/Strava to ensure you are sharing all the required data.
